The Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018, 50% vol., 0.7 l in a wooden box, is a fine fruit spirit speciality from Tyrol that embodies the very best of Austrian distilling craftsmanship. The family-run Rochelt company has been renowned for decades for its handcrafted, premium-quality spirits. Using strictly selected fruit, traditional mash fermentation and a particularly gentle double-distillation method, they produce spirits that set the standard worldwide.


Only fully ripe, sun-kissed Wachau apricots from Lower Austria are used for this limited edition bottling. The Wachau is one of Europe’s best-known and most renowned apricot-growing regions, famous for its unique climate and mineral-rich soils, which lend the fruit a particularly intense aroma. After careful hand-picking, the fruit is mashed and gently fermented over several weeks before being distilled twice using the traditional distillation method.


The distillate is then stored for several years in open glass demijohns in the distillery’s attic. There, it matures amidst natural temperature fluctuations, gaining in elegance and developing its incomparable depth of flavour. With an alcohol content of 50 % vol., the Rochelt Wachauer Marille 2018 is powerful, intense and yet harmonious. It is bottled in the distinctive Rochelt bottle and presented in an elegant wooden box – an exclusive collector’s item and the ideal gift.
