The Faustino V Reserva Rioja DOC 2019 is an elegant Spanish red wine from the renowned Rioja wine region and reflects the long tradition of the famous Bodegas Faustino winery. Only carefully selected Tempranillo grapes are used for this Reserva; these grapes find ideal growing conditions in the chalky soils of the Rioja Alavesa. Following vinification, the wine is aged for at least 18 months in American and French oak barrels and then for a further few years in the bottle before being released for sale. This classic ageing process gives it its distinctive depth, harmonious balance and characteristic elegance, for which Rioja Reservas are prized worldwide.


The 2019 vintage is considered particularly successful and is characterised by optimal climatic conditions, which produced grapes of outstanding quality. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Faustino V Reserva 2019 glows with an intense cherry red colour, with garnet-red highlights. On the nose, complex aromas of dark cherries, ripe plums and red berries unfold, complemented by subtle toasted notes, vanilla and a hint of spice from the oak cask. On the palate, it is harmonious and well-structured, with velvety tannins, lively acidity and a long, elegant finish in which fruit and oak blend perfectly.

This Rioja Reserva is a versatile food companion and pairs superbly with grilled or braised meat, lamb chops, game dishes or hearty stews. It also shows itself at its best with mature Manchego or spicy hard cheese. Served at a temperature of 16–18 °C, it reveals its full character and ensures an unforgettable dining experience, whether for festive meals or convivial evenings.
