The carefully composed blend combines double- and triple-distilled whiskies of varying ages from the parent distillery, with individual components having been matured for up to ten years. Maturation begins in selected casks, before the whisky is transferred to heavily charred oak casks (Char Level 4) for a further three months to reach its full potential. This intense charring lends the whisky additional depth, structure and an elegant smokiness, without overshadowing the Irish style.
