Domäne Wachau Organic White Mulled Wine is a natural, delicately aromatic Austrian mulled wine that adds a special touch to the winter season. With an alcohol content of 9.5 % vol., it impresses with its harmonious blend of freshness, fruit and spice. It is based on a light, fruity Steinfeder wine, which, with its typical Wachau elegance, forms the foundation for this mulled wine. It is refined with festive spices such as cinnamon, star anise, cardamom and cloves. It is sweetened exclusively with grape juice, which preserves its natural character and ensures it remains free from colourings and preservatives – pure nature!


In developing this mulled wine, Domäne Wachau has drawn on decades of experience and regional tradition. Together with cellar master Heinz Frischengruber, the search was on for the perfect recipe, inspired by the classic mulled wines traditionally prepared by parents and grandparents in the region. The focus was on intensive ‘tasting’ to find the perfect balance between wine, grape juice and spices. The result is a mulled wine that is smooth, delicately aromatic and inviting – and in which you can taste the Wachau’s origins even through the spices.

Tasting Note

The Domäne Wachau Organic White Mulled Wine is fruit-forward and spicy. The nose is dominated by notes of cloves, cinnamon and delicate orange zest, accompanied by a fresh, crisp acidity that hints at its origins. The pure grape sweetness lends it a pleasing roundness, whilst the spices create a festive and atmospheric interplay of aromas.

This organic white mulled wine from the Wachau is bottled ready to drink and simply needs to be heated – but not boiled. It is best enjoyed outdoors in good company, accompanied by roasted chestnuts, Christmas biscuits, fire-grilled sausages or baked potatoes. Thanks to its natural character and subtle spice, it is the perfect companion for cosy winter evenings and festive occasions.
