Matured for 12 years in a combination of refill casks and European oak butts previously filled with Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry, this Islay single malt presents itself as a particularly intense and multi-faceted whisky.


Lively, smoky and robust, it combines Lagavulin’s characteristic peaty character with striking sweet, salty and savoury flavours. The combination of sherry casks brings rich fruitiness and depth to the fore, which harmonises superbly with the typical Islay smokiness. Bottled at natural cask strength of 56.5% vol., it is powerful, unadulterated and full of authentic character. Packaged in an artfully designed gift box with an elegant label, this limited special edition is not only a delight to enjoy but also a sought-after collector’s item.

Tasting Note

Colour: Light amber.

Nose: Intensely smoky with maritime hints, sweet sherry notes, dried fruit and a touch of salt.

Palate: Full-bodied, robust and complex with peaty smoke, caramel, raisins, salty nuances and spicy oak.

Finish: Lang, warming and smoky, accompanied by sweet and salty accents.
