Description
The Platzer Gelber Muskateller Klassik Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2025 is a typical representative of the Styrian art of winemaking - fresh, fragrant and unmistakably aromatic. Produced by the renowned Platzer winery, this dry white wine reflects the authentic character of the Vulkanland region, where volcanic rock, a cool microclimate and careful manual labour create perfect conditions for finely structured Muskateller wines.
The grapes grow on medium-heavy, lime-free soils of igneous weathered rock, which give the wine its mineral elegance and freshness. After harvesting, the grapes are vinified in the classic Styrian way - gentle pressing, controlled fermentation and ageing in steel tanks to preserve the fine flavour of the variety. The Gelber Muskateller Klassik 2025 impresses with its balance of flavour, strength and clarity. With 11.5% alcohol by volume and ageing potential until 2028, it shows that even a classic Muscat can have depth and maturity.
Tasting Note
Platzer Gelber Muskateller 2025 presents itself in the glass in a light straw yellow colour with greenish reflections. The nose reveals fine notes of nutmeg, elderflower and ripe citrus fruit. On the palate, it has a powerful structure, fresh acidity and a multi-layered finish with elegant fruit flavours and a typical Muscat spiciness.

This Styrian Gelber Muskateller is ideal as an aperitif and goes perfectly with light starters, fresh salads, goat's cheese or Asian-inspired dishes with a slight spiciness. It is also a wonderful accompaniment to fish or vegetarian dishes. Served at 8-10 °C, it unfolds its full flavour and perfectly expresses the unmistakable charm of the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC.
