The James Eadie Glenlossie 16 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a limited edition of 697 bottles that impressively demonstrates the craftsmanship and passion of the independent bottler James Eadie. This single malt was distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2025 after a total of 16 years’ maturation – including a special 39-month finish in a first-fill European oak Oloroso sherry butt (cask no. 367510). This exquisite finish lends the whisky its exceptional depth, warmth and complex aromas, making it an outstanding representative of the Speyside region.


In the exclusive series ‘The Distilleries of Great Britain & Ireland’, James Eadie pays tribute to historic distilleries and their distinctive character. This bottling is also released at cask strength (52.4% ABV), without chill filtration and in its natural colour, to preserve the whisky’s full authenticity. The label features an illustration based on a historic photograph of the Glenlossie Distillery, evoking the distillery’s early years and highlighting the traditional craft behind it.

Tasting Note

Colour: Dark amber with reddish-golden highlights.

Nose: Intense and complex, with aromas of raisins, dried plums, toffee, vanilla and nutty oak.

Palate: Full-bodied, smooth and complex with notes of dark chocolate, spices, candied fruit and sherry-like sweetness.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and elegant with subtle spice and fruity sweetness.

The James Eadie Glenlossie 16 Years Old reveals its full depth when enjoyed neat at room temperature or with a few drops of water to highlight the aromatic complexity of the Oloroso finish. It pairs particularly well with mature cheeses, roasted hazelnuts or desserts featuring dark chocolate and caramel. It also reveals its spicy, fruity complexity when paired with game dishes, lamb ragout or duck breast with a red wine reduction.
