The Polz Sauvignon Blanc Südsteiermark Ehrenhausen DAC 2022 is an impressive white wine from Southern Styria that embodies the pure elegance and authenticity of this unique wine-growing region. The renowned Polz winery in Ehrenhausen has stood for generations for meticulous craftsmanship, uncompromising quality and terroir-driven wines with a distinct style. The 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from selected plots with coral limestone soils, which lend the wine its distinctive minerality and structure. The wine is matured in large, used wooden casks, allowing the complex aromas to develop fully without overpowering the characteristic fruit. The result is a South Styrian Sauvignon Blanc with character, balance and length. With a drinking window extending to at least 2027, a screw cap and an ideal serving temperature of 8–10 °C, this vintage offers the utmost enjoyment – both when young and after some ageing. On the palate, the wine is both juicy and full-bodied, with a wonderfully elegant and lively acidity. A fine, subtle creaminess harmoniously rounds off the tasting experience.
