The Barolo Terre del Barolo DOCG 2020 is an impressive Italian red wine from the heart of Piedmont, more precisely from the traditional Barolo region, which is considered the home of the Nebbiolo grape variety. Here, on the gently rolling hills of the Langhe, wines of world renown are produced - powerful, elegant and with impressive longevity. The clay and limestone soils significantly shape the character of this Barolo, giving it structure, minerality and aromatic depth.


Vinification is carried out according to the traditional Piedmontese method: after destemming, the grapes are gently pressed and then macerated with the skins for around 30 days and left to ferment. After fermenting for around 20-25 days, the wine continues to mature in order to develop its aromatic complexity and structure. This careful processing gives the Barolo Terre del Barolo DOCG 2020 its unmistakable depth and powerful yet harmonious tannin profile. Sealed with natural cork, it is a wine with ageing potential until 2032 that authentically reflects the essence of the region - elegant, long-lasting and full of character.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Barolo Terre del Barolo DOCG 2020 has an intense garnet red colour with delicate orange reflections. The bouquet is complex and multi-layered, with fruity, jammy notes accompanied by hints of pipe tobacco, leather and ethereal nuances. The palate reveals flavours of plums and coconut, underpinned by fine graphite notes. The structure is powerful and dense, supported by a pronounced, lively acidity and a distinctive, ripe tannin framework. The finish is harmonious, elegant and lingering.

The Barolo Terre del Barolo DOCG 2020 is the perfect accompaniment to braised dishes, roast beef, game stews or herb-crusted lamb. It also harmonises wonderfully with mature hard cheeses, truffle dishes and hearty pasta variations with mushrooms or beef cheeks. At a drinking temperature of 18 °C, it unfolds its full aromatic depth. The wine is already accessible now, but will gain in complexity and finesse as it matures in the bottle until 2032. A classic Barolo that epitomises the elegance and power of Piedmont at its best.
