The Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whisky 94 Proof is the first extra-aged rye whisky release within the award-winning Elijah Craig range, taking the brand’s signature craftsmanship to a new, spicier dimension. With an alcohol content of 47 % vol. (94 Proof), this whisky combines the characteristic depth and smoothness of Elijah Craig bourbons with the aromatic intensity of a classic American rye.


Elijah Craig Straight Rye is produced using a distillation process similar to that of the distillery’s Small Batch Bourbon, but with one key difference in the mash bill: Instead of a maize-dominated recipe, this whisky is based on at least 51 per cent rye, supplemented by maize and malted barley. This combination creates a distinctive balance between the spiciness of the rye and the sweetness of the maize, whilst the long ageing in charred American oak casks lends it its characterful depth and smooth texture.


The Elijah Craig Rye is thus a classic example of the Kentucky style – robust, aromatic and yet wonderfully harmonious. Careful cask selection and the expertise of the Master Distiller result in a whisky that impresses both neat and in classic cocktails.
