The Wolfburn VIBRANT STILLS 10 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Butts 57.8% vol. 0.7 l + GB is a limited-edition meisterwerk of Scottish distilling craftsmanship that impressively reflects the uncompromising craftsmanship of the Wolfburn Distillery in Thurso, Caithness. Only 1,302 bottles of this exceptional single malt were bottled – matured in two selected Oloroso sherry butts (casks #116 & #264), which lend it its unmistakable depth and richness. Ten years of maturation in the harsh, salty coastal air of the north have allowed this whisky to develop a full-bodied and opulent character, perfectly balancing maritime freshness with sweet sherry notes.


Bottled at natural colour, non-chill-filtered and at cask strength of 57.8 per cent ABV, the whisky is presented in its purest form. Tasting Note

Colour: Dark copper with reddish highlights.

Nose: Milk chocolate, nougat, cherry, strawberry and plum jam with a hint of spice.

Palate: Banana, honey yoghurt, syrup, gingerbread dough and toasted almonds with a velvety sweetness.

Finish: Long-lasting, spicy with notes of honeyed toast and candied orange peel.

The Wolfburn 10 Years Old Vibrant Stills Oloroso Sherry Butts pairs superbly with dark chocolate, figs, dried dates or nut-based desserts, which complement its rich sherry sweetness beautifully. It also harmonises beautifully with game fowl, beef fillet in red wine sauce or mature hard cheese, where its spicy complexity comes into its own.
