Under the guidance of Alan and Conor Hyde, this exceptional Hyde Whiskey is double-distilled and initially matured for six years in fresh American white oak bourbon casks. It is then finished in dark rum casks from the Caribbean – a maturing step that lends it its exotic fruitiness, creamy sweetness and spicy, tropical depth.


Bottled as a small-batch premium whisky, Hyde No.4 is bottled at 46 per cent, unfiltered and with no added colouring – in keeping with genuine Irish distilling tradition. This bottling combines the best elements of two worlds: the typical Irish malt character with the aromatic sweetness of Caribbean rums. The result is an expressive single malt that delights with its warm texture and intense aromas.

Tasting Note

Colour: Pale gold with an amber sheen.

Nose: Rich and fruity with tropical notes of passion fruit, vanilla, butter toffee and a hint of oak.

Palate: Sweet rum, vanilla, ginger, lime, green apples, mango and oranges – creamy and well-balanced.

Finish: Lang, spicy and rich with a buttery vanilla finish and a delicate fruity sweetness.
