The Transcontinental Rum Line CAMBODIA Single Cask Rum 2017, 53.9% ABV, 0.7 l in a wooden box, is an exceptional single cask bottling for lovers of authentic and unadulterated rum. This rare vintage rum was distilled in Cambodia in 2017 from local molasses in a pot still and impresses with its artisanal precision and its complex, powerful aroma.


Maturation took place in two phases: first, the rum spent four years in a new American oak cask under Cambodia’s tropical climate, before resting for a further three years in Europe to refine its character. This two-stage maturation process – tropical and continental – has resulted in an impressive balance between intense oak notes, exotic fruit and an elegant structure. This rum was bottled in 2025 in its natural colour and at cask strength (53.9% ABV), which underlines its unadulterated, pure quality. With an ester content of 114.6 g/hlap, it offers an expressive, fruity and spicy profile that will immediately appeal to connoisseurs of complex pot still rums.

Tasting Note

Colour: Intense gold with coppery highlights.

Nose: Expressive and deep, with notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, coconut, molasses, oak and a hint of tobacco.

Palate: Powerful and harmonious with sweet vanilla, ripe bananas, caramel, dried fruit and spicy woody notes.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and complex with a delicate sweetness, subtle toasted notes and a dry, slightly smoky finish.
