Description
Description
The Müller Klöch Gewürztraminer Klöch Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2024, with an alcohol content of 14% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an impressive example of Styrian wine culture and reflects the full expressive power of the Vulkanland region in Styria. For generations, the Weingut Müller Klöch has been renowned for precise, terroir-driven wines that combine elegance and character. This semi-dry Gewürztraminer embodies the typical aromatics of the grape variety, paired with the unmistakable minerality of the volcanic soils around Klöch.
The vines grow on mineral-rich basalt and tuff soils, which lend the wine its spice and depth. Careful hand-harvesting and gentle vinification result in a white wine of exceptional structure, density and aromatic intensity. The Müller Klöch Gewürztraminer 2024 captivates with its opulent fruit, its multi-layered bouquet and its elegant balance between sweetness and freshness – a wine that combines sensual richness with a precise style and impressively reflects the uniqueness of the region.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the wine displays a brilliant golden-yellow colour with delicate coppery highlights. On the nose, intense aromas of rose petals, lemon balm and ripe stone fruit unfold, accompanied by a subtle spiciness. On the palate, the Müller Klöch Gewürztraminer is powerful, full-bodied and spicy, with a multi-layered flavour profile that elegantly combines floral and fruity notes. The texture is smooth and harmonious, underpinned by a subtle sweetness that is perfectly balanced with the delicate acidity. The finish is elegant, aromatic and long-lasting, with a hint of exoticism and delicate spice.
Acidity: 4.3 g/l
Residual sugar content: 13.4 g/l
The Müller Klöch Gewürztraminer Klöch Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2024 is a versatile wine for dining, pairing particularly well with beef carpaccio, roasted veal liver, roast duck or wild pheasant. It also harmonises superbly with Asian meat dishes featuring a subtle heat, as its aromatic depth and mild sweetness perfectly balance the exotic spices. It is equally perfect with mature hard and mountain cheeses with a subtle spiciness. Served at around 10–12 °C, this semi-dry Gewürztraminer is at its very best – powerful, elegant and with a long-lasting aromatic presence that makes it an exceptional wine to savour.
