The Leitner Souvignier Gris & Muscaris PIWI Duett Steiermark 2024, with an alcohol content of 13 per cent by volume in a 0.75-litre bottle, is a modern, forward-looking Styrian white wine made from two PIWI grape varieties: 75 per cent Souvignier Gris and 25 per cent Muscaris. These fungus-resistant varieties enable particularly sustainable viticulture whilst producing a distinctly aromatic, refined flavour profile. The wine comes from selected Styrian Lager, whose cool climate and mineral-rich soils lend the cuvée its clear structure, freshness and varietal character.


The 2024 vintage is particularly well-balanced, aromatic and precise. This PIWI duet combines the elegant fullness and structure of Souvignier Gris with the exotic, fruity aromas of Muscaris. The result is a lively, modern white wine with plenty of freshness, subtle spice and a harmonious, straightforward structure. Tasting Note

In the glass, the PIWI Duett 2024 presents itself as a pale yellow with a slight golden sheen. On the nose, fresh aromas of citrus, white peach, subtle hints of nutmeg and floral nuances unfold. On the palate, the wine is crisp, fruit-driven and harmonious, characterised by lively acidity, delicate spice and an elegant, slightly creamy texture. The combination of the two grape varieties creates a balanced interplay of aromas, whilst the finish is fresh, structured and long-lasting.

The Leitner Souvignier Gris & Muscaris PIWI Duett 2024 is an excellent choice to accompany poultry dishes, fresh fish, summer dishes, Mediterranean herb-based dishes or light pasta dishes.
