The abbreviation Y.A. stands for "Young & Alive" and aptly describes the lively character of this series, which emphasises dynamism, freshness and expressiveness. This bottling is produced by the traditional Hombo Shuzo Co., one of the few Japanese producers with several whisky distilleries and decades of experience in whisky production.

Selected single malts from various Mars distilleries are blended together for Mars The Y.A. Slightly Peated #04. Its character is characterised by the deliberate use of a subtle peat influence, which gives the whisky additional depth without masking the clear, elegant style of Japanese whiskies. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, supplemented by other carefully selected oak casks to achieve balance, structure and complexity. Bottled at 50% vol., non-chill-filtered and in a natural colour, this edition is intense, authentic and clearly focused.
