The Heinrich Ried Siglos 2024 is a terroir-driven single-vineyard wine from Burgenland that impressively reflects the distinctive characteristics of the Ried Siglos in the Altes Weingebirge. The grapes come from vines that are just under 60 years old, lending the wine depth, balance and a remarkable inner calm. The cuvée of Zweigelt and Blaufränkisch forms the foundation of this wine, combining freshness, elegance and structure into a harmonious whole. The wine is aged in small oak barrels, which builds body and finesse without overpowering the natural fruit. With an alcohol content of 13 per cent, the 2024 vintage is well-balanced, precise and clearly structured.


The Siglos vineyard is synonymous with finesse and delicately fruity elegance, and is deliberately vinified in such a way that it offers great drinking pleasure even in its youth, whilst also possessing potential for further development. Tasting Note

In the glass, it is a clear ruby red with a lovely depth. On the nose, it is elegant and delicately fruity with distinct berry aromas. On the palate, it is balanced and precise, with juicy fruit, subtle spice and a well-integrated structure. The finish is harmonious, elegant and lingering, making it a real pleasure to drink.

The Heinrich Ried Siglos 2024 is an excellent choice for beef dishes, a fine roast veal or lamb, where its elegance and structure are shown to their best advantage. It also pairs very well with roast poultry, mushroom dishes or medium-strength cheeses. Furthermore, this single-vineyard wine from Burgenland shines on its own when a finely structured red wine with depth of character and excellent drinkability is called for.
