The Hillinger Gelber Muskateller 2025 is an aromatic, lively Gelber Muskateller from Burgenland that combines freshness, fruit and varietal character in a particularly distinct manner. The 2025 vintage is light-footed, playful and, at the same time, precisely structured. With an alcohol content of 11.5 per cent, the wine is balanced and invigorating, with a clear focus on freshness, aromatic intensity and ease of drinking. The wine is matured in stainless-steel tanks to preserve the variety’s characteristic aromas in their purest form.


After fermentation, the wine matures for three months on the full lees, which lends it additional juiciness and structure without losing its lightness. The style is dry and fruit-driven, underpinned by a lively acidity that imparts vibrancy and freshness to the wine. Bottled with a screw cap, the aromas are optimally preserved. The wine has a ageing potential of around two years, although it reveals its full expressiveness when drunk young. This Gelber Muskateller is best served at a drinking temperature of 7 to 10 °C.

Tasting Note

Light straw-yellow in the glass. On the nose, distinctly playful with exotic fruits such as mango, banana and lychee, accompanied by rose, gooseberry and floral notes. On the palate, it is fruity and dry, with distinct Muscat notes and lively acidity. The finish is fresh, of medium length and very inviting.

The Hillinger Gelber Muskateller 2025 is excellent as an aperitif and pairs particularly well with summer dishes and a variety of salads. It pairs very harmoniously with light starters, vegetable dishes or mildly spiced dishes, where its aromas and freshness really come into their own. This Yellow Muscat from Burgenland is equally impressive as a refreshing stand-alone wine on warm days, when an aromatic white wine that goes down easily is just what’s needed.
