It comes from the traditional Cune estate in Rioja Alta and epitomises the combination of modern precision and historical winemaking culture. The Reserva is vinified predominantly from Tempranillo and rounded off with small proportions of complementary grape varieties to balance structure, freshness and complexity. With an alcohol content of 14%, the 2020 vintage is powerful, balanced and clearly contoured. Careful hand-picking and selective processing form the basis for a long-lasting Rioja with character.

The wine is matured in oak barrels for several months in the classic manner, followed by bottle ageing, which allows harmony, flavour and elegance to develop without masking the fruit. The Cune Rioja Reserva 2020 is already very accessible, but has further ageing potential and shows the typical Rioja Alta signature with structure, balance and depth. It develops ideally at a moderate drinking temperature and is a confident accompaniment to both everyday life and special occasions.

Tasting Note

Dense ruby red in the glass with garnet-red reflections. Ripe red and dark berries on the nose, accompanied by vanilla spices and fine roasted flavours. Balanced and structured on the palate with juicy fruit, ripe tannins and harmonious acidity. The finish is elegantly spicy and long-lasting.

The Cune Rioja Reserva 2020 is an excellent accompaniment to beef, lamb, braised dishes and classic Spanish cuisine. It is also very harmonious with grilled meat, savoury tapas or mature hard cheese.
