The Famille Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards 2023 is an expressive yet balanced Châteauneuf-du-Pape from the southern Rhône Valley, embodying the Famille Perrin’s signature style in a particularly accessible form. The cuvée is predominantly based on Grenache, complemented by Syrah and Mourvèdre, and reflects the appellation’s typical power, spice and depth. With an alcohol content of 14.5 per cent, the 2023 vintage is concentrated, warm and, at the same time, harmoniously structured. The grapes come from the estate’s younger plots, which means the wine is ready to drink earlier without losing any of its complexity.

The wine is carefully matured, partly in large oak casks and partly in stainless steel tanks, to bring out the fruit, spice and balance to the full. Les Sinards 2023 is already a delight to drink in its youth, yet possesses sufficient substance for further development. It embodies a classic yet unpretentious style that clearly reflects its Châteauneuf-du-Pape origins whilst remaining versatile.

Tasting Note

In the glass, a deep ruby red. On the nose, ripe red and dark fruits accompanied by Mediterranean herbs, subtle spice and delicate peppery notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-balanced, with juicy fruit, well-integrated tannins and harmonious acidity. The finish is long-lasting, spicy and elegant.

The Famille Perrin Châteauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards 2023 pairs superbly with lamb, beef, game or hearty stews from Mediterranean cuisine. It also pairs very well with grilled meat, spicy ragouts or mature hard cheeses.
