The Fèlsina Fontalloro is vinified from 100% Sangiovese and presents itself as a dry, fruity red wine with a pronounced structure. Careful ageing emphasises the mineral character and ensures a precise balance between fruit, wood and tannin. With an alcohol content of 14%, the 2021 vintage is powerful, elegant and excellently proportioned. This red wine from Tuscany is designed to develop over a long period of time and is considered one of the consistently best Sangiovese wines in Italy. Bottled in the classic 0.75-litre bottle, Fontalloro stands for depth, authenticity and timeless class.

Tasting Note

A dense, intense ruby red colour in the glass. The nose reveals a mineral and fine woody-fruity aroma of cherry, cedar, blueberry and hazelnut. On the palate, the wine is compact and very present with fine-grained tannins, a classic structure and a clear terroir character. The finish is long, precise and elegant.

The Fèlsina Fontalloro Toscana IGT 2021 is an excellent accompaniment to braised beef, game dishes, lamb or classic Tuscan meat dishes. It is particularly harmonious with dishes with herbs, dark sauces or truffles. This Sangiovese from Tuscany also reveals its full depth with mature hard cheeses. Due to its very high ageing potential, the wine is recommended both for immediate consumption after sufficient aeration and for long-term storage at the highest level.
