The Cà dei Frati I Tre Filer 2021 is an exceptional Italian sweet wine, one of the most time-honoured specialities from the Cà dei Frati estate. The name I Tre Filer literally means ‘the three rows’ and refers to a historic harvesting method in which selected grapes are picked when particularly ripe and then gently processed. This wine embodies a long family tradition and represents the sweet, concentrated character of the Lake Garda region at the very highest level.

I Tre Filer is made from 100% Turbiana (Trebbiano di Lugana) and is fermented slowly after harvesting to achieve a perfect balance of fruit, sweetness and structure. With an alcohol content of 13 per cent, the 2021 vintage is harmonious, smooth and remarkably elegant. Its style is characterised by depth, warmth and aromatic richness, without ever seeming heavy or overbearing. The 0.375-litre bottle emphasises this wine’s character as a special treat for moments of pleasure and fine occasions.

Tasting Note

In the glass, it displays a luminous golden-yellow colour. On the nose, intense aromas of ripe apricots, honey, candied citrus fruits and dried fruits unfold. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied and velvety, with ripe sweetness, elegant freshness and subtle spice. The finish is long-lasting, harmonious and characterised by honeyed and fruity notes.

The Cà dei Frati I Tre Filer 2021 is an excellent dessert wine to accompany pastries, fruit-based desserts, crème brûlée or delicate sweet treats. This sweet white wine from Italy also reveals its particular depth and elegance when paired with blue cheese or mature hard cheese.
