The Ron Zacapa Centenario XO Solera Gran Reserva Especial is one of the most renowned ultra-premium rums from Guatemala and is recognised worldwide for its exceptional maturity, depth and elegance. This rum is produced by Zacapa Rum on the basis of virgin sugar cane honey, the first juice of the sugar cane, which ensures a special flavour and finesse. Maturation takes place in the traditional Sistema Solera, in which rums of different ages are married together over a period of years. Storage takes place in the legendary House Above the Clouds at an altitude of around 2,300 metres, where the cool climate enables slow, controlled maturation.

The Ron Zacapa XO combines rums matured in ex-bourbon, ex-sherry and ex-Pedro Ximénez barrels before selected portions receive an additional finish in French cognac barrels. This final stage of maturation gives the rum its special depth, structure and luxurious elegance. Bottled at 40%, this Gran Reserva Especial is powerful yet exceptionally smooth and complex.
