The Heinrich Vitikult Blaufränkisch Burgenland 2024 13.5% vol. 0.75 l is a Blaufränkisch from Burgenland with a strong character that clearly reflects the signature of the renowned Weingut Heinrich. The grapes come from the Altes Weingebirge vineyard in Deutschkreutz, characterised by loamy soils with a very high lime content. Under the influence of the Pannonian climate, the vines grow in a natural, sustainable balance and produce structured wines characterised by their terroir.


The grapes are harvested selectively by hand. After controlled mash fermentation with natural spontaneous fermentation and subsequent biological acid reduction, the wine matures for 12 months in small oak barrels. This maturation gives the Blaufränkisch 2024 a fine, subtle roasted flavour and supports the ripe tannins without masking the fruit. With 13.5% alcohol by volume, this Austrian quality red wine is elegant, structured and emphasises the terroir. The ageing potential of 6-8 years emphasises its maturity. We recommend opening the wine 1-2 hours before drinking.

Tasting Note

The Heinrich Vitikult Blaufränkisch 2024 has a dark ruby red colour with violet reflections in the glass. The nose reveals intense fruit accompanied by fine spice. On the palate, the wine is structured with ripe tannins and a subtle roasted flavour. The finish is harmoniously spicy and long-lasting.

The Vitikult Blaufränkisch from Mittelburgenland is an ideal accompaniment to roast veal, roast beef, steak or game dishes. This barrique-aged Blaufränkisch also unfolds its structure and flavour perfectly with strong meat dishes with dark sauces. Served at 16-18°C, this Burgenland red wine is ideal for sophisticated menus and enjoyable evenings with a regional character.
