After careful manual harvesting, cold maceration takes place to extract the colour and characteristic aromas in the best possible way. Temperature-controlled fermentation preserves the intense fruit before the wine matures for 24 months in mixed oak barrels. This is followed by a further 12 months of bottle ageing, which gives this Rioja Reserva 13.5% vol. additional depth, elegance and complexity. With its powerful structure and pronounced tannin base, this Mazuelo red wine from Rioja has excellent ageing potential.
