Justino's Madeira COLHEITA 1999 19% Vol. 0.75 l is an expressive, mature Madeira from Portugal that impressively reflects the traditional style of the island of Madeira. Produced by the renowned Vinhos Justino Henriques, this high-quality Madeira DOP belongs to the category of Colheita Madeira, which is vinified exclusively from grapes from a single vintage and matured for at least ten years in wooden barrels. This noble Madeira intermediate product comes entirely from the 1999 vintage and is made from the Tinta Negra grape variety, one of the island's most important traditional varieties.
The grapes come mainly from the Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, Câmara de Lobos and São Vicente growing areas, where volcanic soils and the maritime climate create ideal conditions for aromatic depth. After careful vinification, this Madeira Colheita 1999 matures in American and French oak barrels, allowing it to develop its characteristic complexity. At 19 % vol., this sweet Madeira wine is full-bodied, harmonious and exceptionally long-lasting. Its elegant style impressively combines fruit, flavour and fine oxidation notes.
Tasting Note
A deep amber colour with warm reflections in the glass, the nose reveals intense aromas of dried fruit, nuts and caramel, accompanied by notes of molasses and honey cake, the Madeira Colheita 1999 is full-bodied and complex on the palate, with a harmonious sweetness and lively structure, the finish is elegant and complex, long-lasting and characterised by nutty and caramel depth.
This Madeira from the 1999 vintage is ideal as a digestif or as a stylish accompaniment to rich desserts. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, pralines, rich chocolate desserts or tropical fruits.
