Seven Fathoms Original Cayman Islands Rum 40% Vol. 0.5 litre is an exceptional Caribbean rum produced in the Cayman Islands and made famous by a unique ageing process. Produced by the Cayman Spirits Company, this special Caribbean rum is first matured in ex-bourbon barrels before the barrels are stored underwater at a depth of around 42 metres (Seven Fathoms) off the coast of the Cayman Islands. The gentle movement of the current, the constant pressure and the stable temperature of the sea influence the maturation process and ensure an exceptionally harmonious development of the flavours. This innovative process gives Seven Fathoms rum its characteristic complexity and depth.

Seven Fathoms Original Rum combines traditional Caribbean rum-making with modern experimentation. The combination of tropical maturation, bourbon barrel ageing and special underwater maturation creates a multi-layered flavour profile with fine woody notes, pleasant sweetness and fruity nuances. Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Soft and aromatic, with vanilla, caramel, ripe fruit, coconut and subtle spicy notes.

Flavour: Round and balanced, with brown sugar, toasted oak, tropical fruit, vanilla and light spice.

Finish: Smooth and lingering, with caramel, spices and subtle oak.

Seven Fathoms Original Cayman Islands Rum is an excellent accompaniment to grilled prawns, Caribbean fish dishes, jerk chicken or BBQ ribs, as its caramel and spicy notes complement the roasted flavours of the food particularly well. This Caribbean rum also unfolds its full flavour with desserts such as caramelised pineapple tart, crème brûlée, coconut desserts or dark chocolate.
