The Leitner Welschriesling Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2025 11.5% vol. 0.75 l is a fresh and lively Austrian white wine from Styria that authentically reflects the typical style of the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC origin. The Leitner winery stands for clear, precisely vinified DAC wines from Austria that combine freshness, drinking pleasure and regional typicity. The Welschriesling grape variety is one of the most important classic Styrian white wine varieties and is known for its fruity flavour and lively acidity structure.


The grapes come from the volcanic region of Styria, whose climatic conditions and varied soils offer ideal conditions for elegant, fresh white wines. The grapes are grown conventionally, with particular emphasis on healthy grapes and careful processing. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, which optimally preserves the typical varietal fruit and the clear, fresh style of the Welschriesling. The wine presents itself as a dry white wine with a moderate alcohol content and is particularly suitable for immediate consumption, but can also be stored for around two years. The bottle is sealed with a screw cap, which reliably preserves the freshness and flavour.

Tasting Note

A light yellow colour with fresh reflections in the glass, the nose reveals fruity aromas of apple and citrus fruit accompanied by dried meadow herbs, on the palate the wine is animatingly fresh with crisp acidity and lively fruit, the finish is light, smooth and long-lasting.

This Welschriesling from Styria is ideal as an aperitif and goes particularly well with light starters, fresh salads, grilled vegetables or fish dishes. This Vulkanland Steiermark DAC white wine also harmonises perfectly with asparagus, vegetarian cuisine, cold platters or light summer dishes.
