Description
Description
The Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé 2025, 13% ABV, in a 0.75-litre bottle, is an elegant and expressive rosé wine from the Languedoc-Roussillon region that impressively embodies the Mediterranean way of life of southern France. Produced by the renowned Gérard Bertrand, this high-quality rosé cuvée is made from the Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah grape varieties. The vineyards are situated on limestone and schist soils near a river, whose moderating influence ensures a slow and even ripening of the grapes. This allows the berries to develop particularly fine aromas and complexity.
The grapes are harvested exclusively by hand and gently processed immediately after the harvest. Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for several months on the fine lees, resulting in additional harmony and elegance. With an alcohol content of 13% vol., the Côte des Roses Rosé 2025 is dry, balanced and remarkably fresh. The famous bottle with its rose-shaped base, designed by a young designer from the École Boulle in Paris, makes this premium rosé from France a visual highlight as well. The combination of Mediterranean fruit, delicate minerality and lively freshness makes this French rosé wine an ideal companion for sunny moments of enjoyment.
Tasting Note
In the glass, the Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé 2025 displays a radiant rosé hue. On the nose, aromas of raspberries, blackberries, grapefruit and violets unfold, accompanied by subtle hints of other red fruits. On the palate, this cuvée of Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah is fresh, dry and harmonious, with juicy fruit, an elegant structure and lively acidity. The finish is mineral, balanced and pleasantly long-lasting, characterised by the limestone and schist-rich soils of its origin.
The Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Rosé 2025 pairs superbly with omelettes with salmon and fennel, lemon and chilli chicken with bulgur, or coconut and lime fish curry. This rosé wine from southern France is also an excellent choice with seafood, summer salads, grilled fish or Mediterranean starters. Served at 8–10 °C, this premium rosé from Languedoc-Roussillon reveals its freshness, elegant fruitiness and delicate minerality to the full. Whether as an aperitif or a companion for relaxed summer evenings, this French rosé wine is equally impressive.
