The history of the Gérard Bertrand winery began in 1975, when Gérard Bertrand first worked in his father’s vineyards at the age of ten. His passion for and knowledge of viticulture were passed on to him by his father, Georges Bertrand. Following a successful career as a rugby player, Gérard Bertrand took over the family estate, Domaine de Villemajou, in 1987 and began to raise wine production to new heights. Today, the company comprises several estates throughout the Languedoc-Roussillon region.
