Description
The Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc 2024 13% vol. in a 0.75-litre bottle is an elegant, Mediterranean-inspired white wine from the south of France that puts the traditional Clairette grape variety centre stage. Produced by the renowned French wine house Gérard Bertrand, this high-quality Languedoc white wine embodies the combination of millennia-old wine tradition, Mediterranean lifestyle and modern precision. The "Art de Vivre" line pays homage to the cradle of the Mediterranean, the unspoilt nature of Languedoc and the cultural heritage of a region whose wine-growing history goes back over two thousand years. The unusual bottle made from natural earth is deliberately reminiscent of the first amphorae and emphasises the authentic character of this French quality wine.
The Clairette grape variety is one of the oldest white wine varieties in France and gives this Clairette white wine its elegant freshness and fine fruity flavour. In order to preserve the aromatic clarity in the best possible way, the grapes are harvested in the early hours of the morning between 5 and 8 am. The grapes are selected plot by plot and pressed particularly gently under neutral gas, using only the first musts. The temperature-controlled fermentation is deliberately stopped by cold temperatures in order to preserve around 12 grams of residual sugar. The result is a harmonious, slightly sweet white wine from France that perfectly combines freshness, elegance and fruitiness. At 13% vol., the Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Blanc is balanced, lively and has a Mediterranean flavour. For lovers of French white wine, Clairette from the Languedoc, Mediterranean white wine, fruity white wine, Languedoc wine and slightly sweet white wine, this vintage offers a stylish and terroir-influenced flavour experience.
Tasting Note

The nose reveals fresh aromas of white-fleshed fruit such as pear and peach as well as subtle notes of plum. On the palate, the Clairette white wine from the south of France is fresh, elegant and harmonious, with a fine fruity sweetness, lively structure and Mediterranean lightness. The finish is soft, fruity and pleasantly long-lasting.
The Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc harmonises perfectly with Mediterranean starters, fish dishes or summer salads. This French white wine is also an excellent accompaniment to slightly spicy Asian dishes, goat's cheese or fruity desserts. This Languedoc white wine also unfolds its elegant freshness and fine balance of fruit and subtle sweetness particularly harmoniously as a stylish aperitif. Served well chilled, this Clairette wine from France shows off its Mediterranean flavours and lively freshness to optimum effect.
