The Sailor’s Home Journey is blended from carefully selected Irish whiskies that are matured in different ways. Part of the whisky is initially aged in virgin American oak casks and is subsequently transferred to American bourbon casks. This is complemented by an Irish malt whisky, which also matures initially in bourbon casks before being finished in Jamaican rum casks. This exceptional combination creates a harmonious blend of sweet cask notes, tropical fruit aromas and the characteristic maltiness of an Irish whisky. At 43% ABV, Sailor’s Home Journey impresses with its balanced structure, smooth texture and complex bouquet.
