The Sailor’s Home brand from Limerick combines traditional production methods with international cask maturation, and its name pays tribute to the historic Sailor’s Home, which was founded in 1856 as a refuge for travelling seafarers. Fittingly, this bottling bears the name ‘Haven’, which translates as ‘refuge’ or ‘safe harbour’. The high-quality 0.7 l bottle combines Irish tradition with a modern interpretation of the classic single pot still whisky.


Sailor’s Home Haven is produced from a mash of malted and unmalted Irish barley, as well as oats, which give the whisky its particularly creamy texture. Following traditional triple distillation in pot stills, the whisky is matured in a combination of Spanish Oloroso sherry casks and American bourbon casks. This carefully selected cask maturation reflects the centuries-old trade links between Spain, Limerick and the New World, and gives the whisky its harmonious balance of fruit, spice and subtle woody notes. At 43% ABV, this Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey is smooth, elegant and complex.
