Jack Daniel's Select Single Barrel Tennessee Whiskey 45% ABV, 0.7 l, is a special premium release from Jack Daniel's that stands out distinctly from the well-known Old No. 7. Whilst the classic Jack Daniel’s is created by blending many different casks, the Single Barrel – as the name suggests – always comes from a single, selected cask. This allows each bottling to develop its very own, distinctive character.


Like all Jack Daniel’s whiskies, it is produced in Lynchburg, Tennessee, using the signature Charcoal Mellowing process, in which the distillate is filtered through sugar maple charcoal. It is then matured in handcrafted, new American white oak casks, which are stored on the upper levels of the barrelhouses, where significant temperature fluctuations ensure particularly intense flavours. With an alcohol content of 45% vol., the Single Barrel is more robust and aromatic than the classic Old No. 7.


The elegant, angular bottle emphasises the premium quality of this bottling and makes it a visual highlight for collectors and whisky enthusiasts alike.

Tasting Note

Colour: Deep amber.

Nose: Complex and intense, with notes of vanilla, toffee, dark chocolate and spicy oak.

Palate: Full-bodied and powerful, characterised by sweet caramel, ripe fruit, toasted nuts and a subtle spiciness.

Finish: Long-lasting, warm and balanced with oak and a hint of sweetness.

Jack Daniel’s Single Barrel reveals its full complexity best when enjoyed neat in a nosing glass or with a small drop of water. It pairs superbly with medium-strength cigars, dark chocolate, strong cheese or BBQ dishes. It also makes a luxurious base for classic cocktails such as the Old Fashioned or the Manhattan, if you wish to incorporate its intense character creatively.
