The St. Kilian EX APRICOT BRANDY Single Cask Single Malt Whisky is an exceptional single cask bottling from Germany, with an impressive 50.7 per cent ABV in a 0.5-litre bottle. This single malt comes from St. Kilian Distillers in Rüdenau, Lower Franconia, and was matured for a total of four years in a single French oak barrique. What makes it special is the cask’s previous contents: it had previously held Turkish apricot brandy, whose intense fruity character was imparted to the whisky during maturation. The combination of French oak, apricot brandy and a four-year maturation period gives this bottling a distinctive profile and sets it apart clearly from classic bourbon or sherry cask maturations.


As a single cask single malt whisky, St. Kilian EX APRICOT BRANDY comes entirely from a single cask and showcases its individual characteristics in their purest form. Colour: Bright gold.

Nose: Juicy apricots and fully ripe peaches with Seville orange, creamy vanilla, delicate flowers and subtle herbal lemonade, complemented by elegant brandy notes and subtle oak.

Palate: Opulent and creamy with ripe apricot, juicy peach, vanilla and herbal lemonade, accompanied by hints of brandy, gentle oak spice and delicately melting caramel.

Finish: Long-lasting, creamy-sweet and pleasantly warming, with fruit jam, delicate brandy notes, dark toffee, slightly tart orange and elegant oaky spice.

The St. Kilian EX APRICOT BRANDY Single Cask is particularly recommended neat at room temperature; however, given its robust 50.7% ABV, a few drops of still water can help to bring out additional fruit flavours. Culinary pairings include duck breast, pork fillet or mild to medium-strength cheeses. However, apricot or peach desserts, crème brûlée, caramel pastries and dark chocolate are particularly well-suited, as they complement its pronounced fruit and brandy notes. This single-cask bottling is therefore ideal as a digestif, for whisky tastings or special evenings of indulgence.
