The Signatory Vintage Cardhu 10 Years Old Cask Strength #1132 2016 is a strictly limited-edition Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, presented as a single cask release by the independent bottler Signatory Vintage. The whisky was distilled on 26 January 2016 at Cardhu, before maturing for 10 years in a refill hogshead with cask number #1132. Compared to a first-fill cask, a previously used hogshead allows for a more subtle influence from the wood, allowing the individual character of the distillate to take centre stage. On 25 June 2026, the single malt was bottled at a robust 58.4 per cent cask strength in a 0.7-litre bottle.


The release is limited to just 318 bottles worldwide and is therefore aimed particularly at enthusiasts and collectors of distinctive Cardhu single cask whiskies. As part of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection, the focus is on the unadulterated expression of a single cask. Cardhu is a historic Speyside distillery known for its comparatively elegant, malty and fruity house style. In this bottling, this character and the long maturation in a refill hogshead combine with the intense structure of a cask-strength release. Tasting Note

Colour: Gold to deep gold.

Nose: Malty and fruity, with notes of honey, ripe apples and light fruits, accompanied by vanilla, grain and subtle oak spice.

Palate: Powerful and full-bodied with sweet malt, honey and ripe fruit, complemented by vanilla, delicate spices and subtle oaky notes.

Finish: Long-lasting and warming, with malty sweetness, fruit, delicate spice and dry, lingering hints of oak.

The Signatory Vintage Cardhu 10 Years Cask Strength is best enjoyed neat at room temperature in a nosing glass. Given its high alcohol content of 58.4% vol., adding a few drops of still water may help to further bring out the fruity and malty notes. It pairs well with mature hard cheeses, roasted almonds or walnuts, as well as desserts featuring apple, honey or vanilla. As it is limited to just 318 bottles, this single cask bottling is also of interest to collectors of Cardhu and Signatory Vintage whiskies.
