Brockmans Intensely Smooth GIN takes a deliberately unique approach, combining classic gin botanicals with a distinctive selection of dark berries. Traditional juniper from Italy and citrus peel are combined with blueberries, blackcurrants and hawthorn berries from Northern Europe, which give the gin its particularly smooth and fruity character. The recipe is complemented by lemon peel from Murcia, orange peel from Spain, coriander from Bulgaria, cassia bark, liquorice, angelica root, almonds and orris root. Each botanical fulfils a specific function: juniper forms the classic foundation, citrus fruits provide freshness, whilst berries, spices, roots and almonds create additional depth and harmony.


At 40% ABV in the 0.7-litre bottle, Brockmans Gin stands out from more traditional gin styles, particularly through its unusual combination of classic juniper and an intense berry character. Cassia bark introduces warm spicy nuances, whilst liquorice contributes a subtle sweetness and woody accents. Angelica enhances the gin’s earthy, dry character, and orris root adds floral violet notes, binding the various botanicals together. The almonds used also contribute to the particularly smooth mouthfeel thanks to their natural oils. The result is a modern premium gin with blueberries and blackcurrants, which is suitable for both classic gin drinks and fruit-forward cocktail variations.

Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Fruity and complex, with blueberries and blackcurrants, accompanied by juniper, citrus peel and subtle floral and spicy notes.

Palate: Particularly smooth and harmonious with dark berries, juniper and fresh citrus, complemented by coriander, warm cassia spice, subtle notes of liquorice and earthy undertones.

Finish: Smooth and lingering, with berry fruit, delicate citrus freshness and a subtly dry juniper spice.

Brockmans Intensely Smooth Gin is particularly well suited to a gin and tonic made with a high-quality, fairly neutral tonic water, so that the characteristic berry flavours are preserved. Plenty of ice, along with blueberries, blackberries or a slice of grapefruit, make for a perfect garnish. The interplay of juniper, citrus and dark berries can also be highlighted in a Bramble or other berry-based cocktails. Culinary pairings include light cheeses, dark berries, almonds or desserts featuring berries and citrus fruits.
