The Bodega Norton Privada Family Blend 2024 14.5% is a premium red wine blend from Mendoza, Argentina, combining Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine comes from the Región del Nuevo Cuyo and embodies a powerful, complex style, characterised by intense fruit and an elegant tannin structure. Its development is largely shaped by the meticulous ageing process: the Privada Family Blend matures for 16 months in new French oak barriques. This barrel ageing not only enhances the structure and colour stability but also imparts additional spicy and wood-influenced nuances to the blend. After bottling, the wine undergoes a further 12 months of bottle ageing in the cellars of Bodega Norton before being released onto the market.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Bodega Norton Privada Family Blend 2024 displays a deep ruby red colour with violet highlights. On the nose, ripe plums and blackcurrants unfold, accompanied by dark chocolate, roasted coffee, cocoa and delicate spicy notes with a hint of black pepper. On the palate, the cuvée is powerful, generous and dense, with fresh acidity and silky, superbly integrated tannins. The finish is exceptionally long-lasting, complex and characterised by an elegant, spicy aftertaste.
