The Baron Philippe de Rothschild MOUTON CADET Bordeaux Blanc 2025 12.5% is an elegant French white wine from Bordeaux, blended from the classic white Bordeaux grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle. The vines grow on loam and limestone soils, whose varying characteristics provide ideal conditions for a balanced, fresh and, at the same time, complex white wine. The grapes are harvested by hand at optimum ripeness, then carefully selected and gently processed. Temperature-controlled fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks. Once fermentation is complete, the wine is left to develop further on its fine lees for several months, allowing the individual components to blend harmoniously.


The Mouton Cadet Bordeaux Blanc 2025 comes from the Baron Philippe de Rothschild estate and combines the traditional heritage of Bordeaux with a modern, approachable style of white wine. With just 1.5 g/l of residual sugar, the wine is distinctly dry, whilst its lively fruit acidity provides freshness and vibrancy. At the same time, it retains a light-footed character without sacrificing complexity. Available in a 0.75 l bottle and with an alcohol content of 12.5%, the Mouton Cadet Blanc 2025 is ideal both for casual enjoyment and as a versatile accompaniment to food. The combination of a classic Bordeaux Blanc cuvée, hand-harvesting, fine lees ageing and a renowned producer makes it an interesting choice for lovers of dry French white wines.

Tasting Note

In the glass, the Mouton Cadet Bordeaux Blanc 2025 displays a radiant pale yellow colour. On the nose, notes of kumquat, grapefruit and delicate cherry blossom unfold, complemented by Mediterranean herbs, green pepper and a hint of lovage. On the palate, the cuvée is aromatic, fruit-driven and well-balanced, with lively acidity and a multi-layered structure. In the long finish, notes of orange and pomelo re-emerge, before subtle mineral hints round off the flavour profile.

The Baron Philippe de Rothschild Mouton Cadet Blanc 2025 is at its best when served at a temperature of 8–10 °C. This dry Bordeaux Blanc pairs particularly well with spaghetti with yoghurt and mint pesto, Thai cucumber salad or a vegetable salad with beetroot. It is also ideal with light fish dishes, seafood and fresh vegetarian dishes. Its lively acidity and balanced structure also make it a suitable white wine for summer menus and as an aperitif.
