Amundsen Extreme Quality Vodka 40% is a premium Polish grain-based vodka produced by Stock Spirits, designed to offer a particularly pure, mild flavour. It is based on a selected blend of grains, which is distilled six times before the vodka undergoes additional activated charcoal filtration at temperatures below 0 °C. This process ensures a clear, smooth texture whilst preserving subtle grain notes and delicate spicy and citrusy hints. The vodka is named after the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Engelbregt Gravning Amundsen, who, amongst other achievements, was the first person to reach the geographic South Pole. The striking bottle design also reflects this connection to the polar world, its angular shape evoking a massive block of ice.

At 40% ABV, Amundsen Extreme Quality Vodka is particularly smooth, well-balanced and pleasantly neutral, without seeming completely devoid of flavour. Delicate notes of grain blend with fresh hints of citrus, white pepper and almonds, whilst on the palate, lemon zest and a subtle hint of nutmeg also come to the fore. It is precisely this combination of six-fold distillation, cold filtration and activated carbon filtration that defines the clean, mild character of this Polish vodka. Tasting Note

Colour: Clear.

Nose: Clean and fresh with subtle cereal notes, accompanied by citrus fruits, white pepper and a subtle hint of almond.

Palate: Smooth and mild with subtle cereal notes, fresh lemon zest, delicate pepper and a hint of nutmeg.

Finish: Medium-length, very mild and clean with a gently fading spiciness.

Amundsen Extreme Quality Vodka tastes particularly good when well chilled or served over ice, which brings out its clear and mild character even more. As a base for cocktails, it is ideal for a Vodka Martini, Moscow Mule, Vodka Soda or Cosmopolitan. When paired with food, smoked salmon, blinis, pickled vegetables or mild cream cheese complement its clean character particularly well.
