The Hillinger JACK without dad! White 2019 13.5% ABV is a characterful Austrian white wine cuvée from Burgenland, created by Leo Thaddeus Hillinger – son of the renowned winemaker Leo Hillinger – as part of his independent wine range, JACK without dad! . The blend of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc comes from the Leithaberg wine-growing region, whose chalky soils and Pannonian-influenced climate provide ideal conditions for the cultivation of expressive white wines. Selected vineyard sites, particularly around the Ladisberg, define the regional character of this vintage. The JACK range combines traditional Burgenland winemaking with a modern, distinctive philosophy.


In the production of the Hillinger JACK without dad! White 2019, the selected grapes are gently processed before the white wine cuvée is aged in wooden barrels. This ageing process supports the development of a complex structure and lends the wine additional depth. The careful blending of the three grape varieties emphasises the individual character of this dry white wine from the Leithaberg. With an alcohol content of 13.5% in the 0.75 l bottle, the JACK without dad! White 2019 is suitable both as a versatile accompaniment to food and for special moments of enjoyment. Tasting Note

In the glass, the Hillinger JACK without dad! White 2019 presents itself in a bright yellow with delicate greenish highlights. On the nose, a complex bouquet of blackcurrants unfolds, accompanied by subtle peppery notes and a hint of herbal spice. On the palate, this white wine cuvée is full-bodied and expressive, with hints of ripe blackcurrants, banana and a touch of lovage, accompanied by a pleasant acidity and a pronounced limestone-driven minerality. The finish is long-lasting, harmonious and elegant, with a delicate, spicy freshness.

The Hillinger JACK without dad! White 2019 pairs superbly with creamy porcini risotto, roast corn-fed chicken and veal medallions with herb sauce. It is particularly delightful paired with pan-fried pike-perch on a bed of celery purée or an aromatic mushroom ragout, whose delicate flavours complement the structure of the white wine. This Burgenland white wine cuvée also makes an excellent accompaniment to mature mountain cheese, mild Comté or a hearty quiche with leeks and bacon.
