Hills & Harbour Smoked Orange & Burnt Pineapple Gin, 40% ABV, comes from Galloway in Scotland and combines Hills & Harbour’s in-house ‘grain-to-glass’ gin base with exceptionally carefully prepared fresh fruit. Large quantities of fresh oranges and pineapples are used in every batch, with no artificial fruit flavourings whatsoever. To capture the characteristic qualities of the fruit, the distillery employs several artisanal processes: Among other things, the fruit is smoked by hand, flambéed, macerated, pressed and then distilled. This process, which takes several days, combines various techniques and enables intense fruit characteristics to be incorporated into the gin solely through processing and distillation.


The gin is based on the distillery’s own Hills & Harbour Gin, which allows the distillery to exercise particularly comprehensive control over the production process. The concept follows the principle of 100% distilled fruit and no artificial additives, with smoked orange and flambéed pineapple defining the distinctive character of this bottling. The 0.7-litre bottle also visually reflects its Scottish origins: the frosted, textured glass is reminiscent of weathered sea glass shaped by the sea. A natural cork with a naturally formed edge ensures that each stopper has a slightly different appearance. At 40% ABV, Hills & Harbour Smoked Orange & Burnt Pineapple Gin combines grain-to-glass production, fresh fruit and meticulous distillation to create an unusual Scottish gin speciality.
