Irish Mist Honey Liqueur combines the long tradition of Irish whisky-making with the sweetness of the finest honey and a select blend of herbs. Desmond Williams has been producing traditional Irish whisky at his Tullamore Distillery since 1829. Inspired by an old heather wine recipe, he began producing Irish Mist in 1947 – the first liqueur produced in Ireland and thus the forerunner of all Irish whisky liqueurs. Today, Irish Mist is known and appreciated far beyond the borders of the Emerald Isle.

Its recipe is based on high-quality ingredients, including Irish barley, selected herbs, and heather and clover honey. The original recipe remains unchanged and is enhanced only by a few subtle ingredients to perfect the flavour. With an alcohol content of 35 % vol., Irish Mist impresses with its harmonious balance of sweet honey notes, spicy herbs and the gentle depth of Irish whisky. It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or in cocktails, and is also excellent as an addition to hot drinks such as Irish coffee.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with golden highlights.

Nose: A sweet honey aroma, accompanied by vanilla, malt and subtle herbal notes.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced, with notes of honey, caramel, delicate spices and mild whisky.

Finish: Long-lasting, slightly spicy, warming and with a subtle hint of oak.

Irish Mist Honey Liqueur is perfect as a digestif or served neat over ice. In cocktails, it lends drinks a sweet, spicy depth, such as in a Honey Old Fashioned with whisky and Angostura bitters. It is also ideal for a hot honey and whisky tea during the colder months. As a dessert accompaniment, it can be served over vanilla ice cream or with dark chocolate.
