Irish Mist Honey Liqueur combines the long tradition of Irish whiskey production with the sweetness of the finest honey and an exquisite blend of herbs. Desmond Williams has been producing traditional Irish whiskey at his Tullamore Distillery since 1829. Inspired by an old heather wine recipe, he began producing Irish Mist in 1947 - the first liqueur produced in Ireland and the forerunner of all Irish whiskey liqueurs. Today, Irish Mist is known and appreciated far beyond the borders of the Emerald Isle.

Its recipe is based on high-quality ingredients, including Irish barley, exquisite herbs and heather and clover honey. The original recipe is retained and only a few fine ingredients are added to perfect the flavour. With an alcohol content of 35% by volume, Irish Mist impresses with its harmonious balance of sweet honey notes, spicy herbs and the smooth depth of Irish whiskey. It can be enjoyed neat, on ice or in cocktails and is also ideal for enhancing hot drinks such as Irish coffee.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm amber with golden reflections.

Nose: Sweet honey flavour, accompanied by vanilla, malt and subtle herbal notes.

Flavour: Soft and balanced, with notes of honey, caramel, fine spices and mild whiskey.

Finish: Long-lasting, slightly spicy, warming and with a subtle oak note.

Irish Mist Honey Liqueur is perfect as a digestif or pure on ice. In cocktails, it adds a sweet and spicy depth to drinks, for example in Honey Old Fashioned with whiskey and Angostura bitters. It is also ideal for a hot honey-whiskey tea in the cold season. It can be served over vanilla ice cream or with dark chocolate as a dessert finishing touch.
