Botran Ron Añejo 12 Solera 40% vol. 0.7 l + GB is a high-quality premium rum from Guatemala, produced in the traditional manner from Virgin Cane Honey. This is concentrated sugar cane juice from which water is removed prior to distillation in order to concentrate the natural sugar cane flavours. This labour-intensive process gives the rum its characteristic depth and sets it apart from many molasses-based rums. The historic Botran Distillery matures its rums at around 2,300 metres above sea level, where the cool highland climate provides optimal conditions for slow and consistent cask maturation. Botran Ron Añejo 12 Sistema Solera is aged for at least twelve years using the traditional Sistema Solera method in American white oak casks. The careful distillation and long ageing give it a balanced blend of fruit, wood and subtle spicy notes.
