Monkey Shoulder The Original Blended Malt Batch 27 is an exceptional Scottish blended malt whisky, comprising three first-class single malts from the Speyside region. The distilleries Glenfiddich, Balvenie and Kininvie supply the distillates, which are matured in first-fill bourbon casks and then blended to create a harmonious whisky.

Monkey Shoulder was developed specifically for the modern whisky drinker and captivates with its smooth, approachable texture and its fruity, spicy aroma. The name ‘Monkey Shoulder’ stems from an old tradition amongst maltsters, who were prone to a typical shoulder injury caused by their work with malt shovels.

With an alcohol content of 40% ABV, this whisky offers a smooth, sweet yet complex tasting experience – perfect for cocktails or enjoying neat.

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm gold.

Nose: Rich aromas of vanilla, honey, fresh oranges and a hint of spices and malt.

Palate: Smooth and creamy with notes of caramel, ripe fruit, sweet vanilla and a hint of oak spice. The bourbon cask maturation lends a pleasant sweetness and a harmonious balance.

Finish: Medium-length, smooth and sweet with hints of toasted malt and subtle spice.
