It is produced according to traditional recipes and is rooted in the use of high-quality herbs and wormwood, as well as careful distillation.

Grüne Fee uses only 100 per cent natural herbs, including wormwood, aniseed and fennel, which are responsible for absinthe’s characteristic bitter note. In addition, botanical flavours such as coriander, cinnamon and angelica are added, which intensify and refine the taste experience. This blend of herbs gives the absinthe a balanced complexity that can be enjoyed neat or in the traditional absinthe preparation with sugar and water.

Tasting Note

Colour: Bright green.

Nose: Intense, herbaceous with distinct notes of wormwood, aniseed and fennel, as well as a hint of cinnamon and coriander.

Palate: Bitter and spicy with a strong note of wormwood, followed by fennel, aniseed and a slight herbal freshness.

Finish: Long-lasting, bitter with a harmonious blend of spices and herbs.

Grüne Fee Absinthe is ideal for the traditional absinthe preparation, where water and sugar are added to mellow the flavour and experience the ‘louche’ reaction. It can also be used in cocktails such as an absinthe Martini or Death in the Afternoon. It also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, mature cheeses or as an accompaniment to full-bodied cigars to bring out their intense flavour.
