Dom Bénédictine is an exquisite herbal liqueur with 40 % vol. based on a long tradition and a mysterious recipe. This liqueur is made from a unique combination of 27 different herbs and Werder, which give it its unmistakable, complex flavour. The recipe dates back to the 16th century and was developed by Benedictine monks who masterfully combined their knowledge of medicinal plants and spirits.

It is produced in a complex process in which the botanicals are first macerated and then distilled in copper stills. Dom Bénédictine is then matured in oak barrels, which gives it its soft, harmonious structure. The result is a liqueur that combines sweet, spicy and herbal notes in perfect balance. Its unmistakable flavour makes it a popular choice both for pure enjoyment and for classic cocktails such as the "B&B" (Bénédictine & Brandy).

Tasting Note

Colour: Warm, golden amber.

Nose: Complex aromas of honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, saffron and herbs with a subtle hint of vanilla.

Taste: Full-bodied and spicy with notes of honey, caramelised sugar, herbs, orange peel and a hint of liquorice.

Finish: Long-lasting, gently spicy with a pleasant sweetness and fine herbal bitterness.

Dom Bénédictine is versatile and is ideal as a digestif or as an elegant ingredient in cocktails. It harmonises particularly well with dark chocolate, mature cheese or desserts such as crème brûlée.
