Legendario Ron Dorado is a premium golden rum produced in Cuba, renowned for its smooth yet aromatic character. Produced by the renowned Empresa de Bebidas y Refrescos, this rum is aged for up to 5 years in selected American white oak casks. This ageing process gives it a delicate balance of sweet, fruity and spicy flavours, making it a real treat whether enjoyed neat or in cocktails.

A distinctive feature of this Legendario rum is its original bottle shape, which is still fitted with a special ‘non-refill cap’. This valve prevents the bottle from being refilled and ensures precise pouring. However, this may mean that the cap is not always completely airtight, which can occasionally lead to minimal loss of liquid during transport. This does not, however, constitute a quality defect and does not affect the excellent quality of this rum.

Tasting Note

Colour: Golden amber with warm highlights.

Nose: Soft vanilla notes, caramel, slightly spicy oak and a hint of dried fruit.

Palate: Smooth and well-balanced with sweet hints of honey, toasted oak, vanilla and a subtle spiciness.

Finish: Medium-length, smooth and slightly sweet with a pleasant hint of caramel and wood.

Legendario Ron Dorado is ideal for enjoying neat or on the rocks, but also works beautifully in classic cocktails such as a Cuba Libre or a Rum Old Fashioned. Thanks to its smooth vanilla and caramel notes, it also pairs wonderfully with dark chocolate, caramelised nuts or spicy cheese. This golden rum brings a touch of Cuban joie de vivre to your glass and is an excellent choice for lovers of mild yet aromatic rums.
