Geranium Premium London Dry Gin is a premium London Dry Gin from Hammer & Son, developed by combining scientific expertise with many years’ experience in gin-making. H. Hammer Sr. contributed his knowledge as a chemist, whilst H. Hammer Jr. brought his experience as a gin connoisseur and tasting panel judge. The eponymous centrepiece of the recipe is a special variety of organically grown geranium, which is processed alongside nine other carefully selected botanicals. This brings the total number of botanicals used to ten. These are macerated in high-quality grain spirit for 48 hours before distillation takes place. The gin is then cut to drinking strength using exceptionally pure water from an artesian well.


Geranium London Dry Gin is bottled at 44% in a 0.7-litre bottle. The geranium was specifically chosen to enhance the classic juniper character of a London Dry Gin with floral and citrus notes, without overshadowing the traditional style. Sustainability also plays an important role at Hammer & Son: according to the manufacturer, energy from solar and wind power is used in the bottling process. The combination of organic geraniums, nine other botanicals, 48-hour maceration, grain spirit and artesian well water makes Geranium Premium Gin a distinctive interpretation of the classic London Dry style, with a particular focus on balance and a precise selection of botanicals.

Palate: Smooth and harmonious with classic juniper, fresh citrus and elegant floral geranium notes, accompanied by subtle botanical spice.

Finish: Long-lasting, clean and balanced with juniper, delicate citrus accents and a subtle floral note.

Geranium Premium London Dry Gin is ideal for a classic gin and tonic with a dry, preferably neutral tonic water that does not mask the balance of juniper, citrus and geranium. A slice of lemon or grapefruit makes for a subtle garnish. Thanks to its classic London Dry character and robust 44% ABV, it also provides an excellent base for a dry Martini, Negroni or gimlet. In terms of food pairings, its fresh, floral profile complements seafood, smoked salmon, goat’s cheese or light Mediterranean starters.
